Bellaterra, an example of sportsmanship

The beautiful area of Bellaterra has become a benchmark in Catalan athletics. This was done thanks to the efforts of the organizers of La Sansi Bellaterra, the EMD de Bellaterra and the Sansi Athletics Club.

Bellaterra is a Decentralized Minor Entity (EMD) with little more than 2,700 inhabitants who, once a year, on the Day of Catalonia, hosts a race with more than 1,000 athletes. This year Sansi Bellaterra, the most popular race for the 2012 and 2013 Days in Catalonia, has achieved a new record of registrations with a total of 1,350 runners.

Many runners wondered how Bellaterra could capture so many participants and become a benchmark in the sports calendar. Well, as usual, well-done work is almost always rewarded. Both the Bellaterra EMD and the   La Sansi Athletics Club   They have invested many resources in realizing this race.

Congregating a human team of volunteers who have left their skin, establishing future business partnerships, contacts with the press, staying well with everyone, measuring a circuit in a neat way, watching that all the details are thought out, honoring great sportsmen , creating rivalry among renowned athletes, promoting local sport ... It is a fact that the Sansi of Bellaterra has come to stay. In this second edition, the race has made it clear that organizing an event like this, if you are working consciously in all the details, can take root in a wide range of populations.
